Statements Statements regarding Ken Hodgeson and PSCC |
“To sit back and do nothing regarding Ken Hodgeson and PSCC is to allow many more lives to be destroyed.” - Former Member “How ingenious of Satan to get a man and his church serving him by destroying families and lives, all the while believing that they are serving God.” - A former ministry associate of Ken’s “Ken Hodgeson has to stay in denial as to what he has done, otherwise how could he live with himself?” - A Pastor after counseling former members of PSCC “Ken Hodgeson should be in prison for what he has done to families.” - Former CBA leader, (Conservative Baptists of America) “This man’s deception needs to be exposed to the light for all to see.” (Ephesians 5:11) - CB Pastor “That the Conservative Baptists are allowing this cult to continue is appalling.” - A member of a Conservative Baptist Church after reading the testimonies on the PSCCSG web site. www.cbamerica.org/offices.htm |
“I have come to the conclusion that Ken Hodgeson is an evil man. I hate to say that about anyone, but it is the truth.” - A former elder at PSCC “The smear campaign continues on me and you and all who have left. It has to be in place in order to keep the denial going. It has to be that we are wrong for them to stay right. _____ points out behavior issues about Ken but says they just don't get it, they won't see it. That's how it works - deny the obvious much like an alcoholic denies there is a problem just because his car is in the neighbor's yard again. Deny it so you don't have to deal with it. The more the obvious is pointed out the more frantic becomes the denial. They have based everything on Ken and if he is not what they believe and have followed then they are deceived. Being deceived is a huge issue for those that leave an abusive church. How could I have fallen for that? Why did I stay so long? How could I be so stupid? So deceived? So weak? etc. There is a lot of shame involved. Running from shame keeps denial in place. Plus the abusive system doesn't allow them to question what they feel in their gut. But.... they all feel it at some level. Every alcoholic knows deep inside that there is a problem and everyone there knows deep inside that there is something very wrong. Breaking through to an alcoholic consists of continually pointing out behavior that is abnormal, discrepancies, lies, etc. …..At some level it does get through. Eventually the alcoholic can no longer deny the large body of evidence before him and my hope is that the same will happen here. If only a person at a time gets it there will be a slow defection from the church that will cause others to start to question. ….There are people who are vulnerable to the truth there and already question Ken. All they need is some prayer and some truth, to question and be shut down for questioning, and then they'll question more and eventually be forced out or leave. It feels like a rescue mission doesn't it?” - Former Member of PSCC |
